ROCK ISLAND, Ill – Friendship Manor is the proud recipient of the Golden Broom Award received today at the Renaissance Rock Island 23rd Annual Hard Hat celebration at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. The celebration is designed to recognize investment in the community and thank those who have helped strengthen Rock Island. The organizations of Renaissance Rock Island - Development Association of Rock Island (DARI), Rock Island Economic Growth Corporation (GROWTH), and The Downtown Rock Island Arts & Entertainment District (The District) – presented a Golden Broom to Friendship Manor for accomplishing and maintaining an almost unheard of task of receiving a deficiency free survey from the Illinois Department of Public Health for the second year in a row. Located off 12th Street and 21st Avenue, this accomplishment places Friendship Manor in an elite group, as only 1% of facilities in the nation have a received a perfect score TWICE in a row.
